I cut the middle ring away and use the 2 remaining rings as individual toys. They seem to last long and work really well for throwing and fetch exercise.

Love this, bought for my border collie pup (now 2yrs) he's a very strong chewer and destroys most things within an hour but after over a year the rings are still great. I have a friend with a v strong lab though who came round and bit through the middle ring in seconds which really surprised me, so we now have 2 toys instead of 1!! Will be buying again. Great outdoor or indoor toys.

I have a Beagle who likes to play tug and this toy has been the best tug toy I've ever bought!!

However, this is not a chew toy. Your dog can chew it whilst tugging but I wouldn't leave him alone with it - we get it out specially to play tug. Despite being described as indestructible, I'm sure if he was in the mood to chew through it he probably could do so eventually.

It's a case of having to be a responsible owner and if your dog is in the mood to chew, give them a chew toy. If they're in the mood to tug, this is the best toy I could recommend.

my dogs love to play with this, inside and out. i have 4 boxer dogs. they can allgrab a bit and try play together. its tough and they have had it years and its still not broken.

My 6 month German Shepherd managed to chew his way through the middle ring in 15 minutes. The toy looked good for dogs that chew and made of strong rubber but on reflection not value for money.

My 14 month terrier cross is a tug fanatic and I always have a toy that she can only have when out in the park. Although she loves a the kong wubba, she will croon happily whilst annihilating any toy with fabric or rope. This one is suitable for retrieve or tugging - it's length gives me some distance so she doesn't push against me with her front legs. It doesn't last forever, but if an end ring is busted first, we still have two to play with. For my little engine of destruction, this constitutes good value. We'll get 2-5 weeks out of this, whereas most others last two days.

My 10 month old springer has destroyed most of the other toys I have bought for him, and only Kongs seemed to last. I thought I would give these rings a try, and hurrah...they lasted longer than a day!
He absolutely loves them, and hasn't managed to destroy them yet (he has had them for 2 weeks now). He uses them as a chew toy, and so far has only left teeth marks in them...no real damage at all.
I didn't read the other reviews before I bought the toy, and I am glad I didn't as I wouldn't have tried the toy.
Maybe not for a very strong chewer, and I only let him have it when supervised just in case, but well worth the money

brought the toy for my 6 month old staff who chewed through in less than 10 mins.

I will be going back to the store to return this item.

With regards to the comments from Pets at Home saying its not a chew toy but a tug toy, it states on the product "Its a tug toy, Its a chew toy! and is ment to be long lasting!
