The Tropical Heater Kit for BiOrb is the quick and easy way to convert your coldwater BiOrb into a tropical aquarium.

Each Heater Kit includes:

50w Heater - to help regulate your aquariums water temperature to the correct level for your tropical fish;
Glass Thermometer - to monitor your aquariums water temperature to ensure it is correct for the fish in your tank;
Heater Stand - to fix your heater kit to the curved inside of the BiOrb;
Tropical Fish Food - now you have converted your aquarium, the included tropical fish food will help you that little bit further on your way to keeping a tropical aquarium.

Your BiOrb has a removable contained in the light unit which provides a gap into which the lead from the heater can rest, keeping your aquarium tidy and free of wires whilst allowing the light unit to remain securely fitted.

Brought this product just over a month now to place in my 30 litre biorb fish tank, but have noticed that the heater no longer maintains the water temperature at the preset temperature of 25 degrees. It only seems to get to a maximum of only 22 degrees which is not warm enough for tropical fish. Initially I thought it might be a fault with the thermometer but I brought another Interpet heater as a replacement and it kept the water temperature spot on and is cheaper. Will be bringing this back.

Much better then the other heaters sold by pets at home. I bought a different branded heater from this store for[$] and it broke within 5 months. So i decided to spend a bit more and get this.I can tell this is of much higher quality by just looking at it closely. and i have used for a a week now and i would like to say that this is by far the best aquarium heater i have had.i set the heat at 21C and it remained at 21 unlike the other heater which went to 23C. not much of a difference but it shows you the quality. You get what you pay for.Please note that this product is probably not suitable for baby biorbs because it is very powerful and i have heard it spoils the look of the small thank (but its un noticable on the 60 litre biorb tank i have)

Had this heater for around 20 Months now, and can safely say I have mixed feelings. I've never had any major issues with it heating my fish tank (a Baby BiOrb with a single Betta), but I have found it to be rather an eye-sore because of its size - quite large when you put it into a Baby BiOrb (though this may not be a problem in a larger model). I also found it to be rather expensive in relation to other heaters I could have chosen, which I was not aware of when I purchased the heater. The stand that comes with it can be hard to attatch to the side of the tank, also.

I have the Fluval Edge Aquarium and the heater works perfectly in it. I checked the tank temp everyday for about a month before i added fish to it and the temperature never changed. After the Fish was added the temperature still remined the same so i personally found it very good. However i do have it just next to where the water filters through which may be causing the water to stay at the desired temperature as the water is circulating round the tank keeping the temperature steady.

This heater is too powerful for the baby biorb, and can cause the fish to become ill or die, a 25w heater and the heater stand would be a much more suitable choice. However this product works well with the larger biorb tanks.

I tried this heater along with a small BiOrb tank. It rwas hard to keep the temperature of the water under 30 degrees. My 3 fish died in the first month.
