We have an MPV and the packaging states it is "Universal". It isn't until you find the fitting instructions inside the box that you find the small print on the back suggesting MPV/four wheel drive vehicles may need additional extension!
Check the height of your roof and compare carefully before purchase that it won't be too short for space. We found it fell short by at least a foot at full extension. I inderstand you need to buy additional inserts to extend it which (and they are only 17cm...) makes this expensive. I shall be looking into a different type.

My 5 month old Labrador pup has just started to climb over into the back seats from the boot, so I needed a guard. It doesn't work as it is with my Renault Clio MK2. I installed the guard and made sure it was secured as tight as possible (not easy as you need to hold the guard in place and adjust and tighten the legs), as soon as my lab pup knocked it it fell down. There was also quite a large gap between the guard part and the back of the chair, I do think dogs could get their heads stuck and possibly injure themselves. Instead of returning it for a refund I improvised. I removed the legs and used large plastic cable ties to secure the top of the guard to the rear seat headrests. It now works and the pup is safe & secure in the boot. Happy with it now, but disappointed it didn't fit in the car as it is supposed to.

It was not easy to install, took 2 of us and one leg kept jamming. It was not sturdy enough and would not have been sufficient to keep our new and excited/ anxious staffs bull terrior in the boot.

I was happy with the product when i first purchased it. But very disappointed when one of the pads at the bottom of the tube to tighten it into place snapped. The product itself is one of the cheapest out there, but i may have to consider a different brand.

Simple to fit, although you do sometimes need more than one pair of hands to hold it all in place before 'locking it'.
Locking mechanism is simple - but can stick, making further adjustment very difficult.
After about a year, it has broken. I would recomend something with a better fixing mechanism. Summary, cheap & cheerful.
