I have 10 rescue rabbits and 2 guinea pigs, I use this product on all of their water bottles, it keeps the water cool and the bottle algae free in the summer, and from freezing, down to around minus 6, in the winter (this is with a quilt and carpet over the top of the hutch and therefore the bottle). I would highly recommend this product. The only thing I would say is that you have to remember to check the water level every day, but this is easy as the bottle just slides out from the snug. Keep hold of your old wire though, as on some hutches the cage wire is too narrow to fit the elastic strap through.

Had high hopes, as well made. but stiff materials and porr design didn't ensure a good fit and bottle was frozen up. Almost needs another layer to go on bottle first. I had bought to replace my own homemade bubble wrap and luck version - but what a waste of money - will go back to bubble wrap.
No good for hutches outside, but would probably be ok to use if you keep your animals in a shed or similar.

I've been using this product for almost 5 years on 4 hutches and i love them; they really help in the summer to keep the water COOLER not cold though of course; and stops algea growing inside the bottle.It helped somewhat with the cold weather and stop the contents of the bottle freezing but not the spout (A quick run under the hot tap unblocks that though) Although you can't see the waterline through it its easy to remove and replace again, One down side was one of my rabbits loved the taste of it but a spray of bitter lemon juice stopped her eating it Well worth the [$]

My rabbits live in insulated summer house, but due to the freezing nights their bottles froze for the first time iv ever had rabbits (22 years). I bought 2 of these bottle snugs to try. I have the "giant" water bottles, which the water bottle snugs fit perfectly, and the elastic strap works fantastically.However, that is where the good points end. Even though larger bottles take much longer to freeze than smaller ones, they still froze completly within a few hours- during the day when it is a bit warmer (fresh room temperature water was put in the bottle snugs at 11am, by 6pm when i went to check the rabbits they were COMPLETELY frozen). That day it was minus 8, and these bottle snugs say they work to minus 14! Clearly they do not- false advertising![$] completly down the drain- im just glad i didnt buy 5 for all the water bottles there. They may work in summer to keep water cool, but i do not have that issue, nor have i ever had algae, so for me it is a complete waste.

Useless. Waste of money. I've thrown it in the bin. I change the water at least 3 times a day in freezing weather and I will carry on doing this. Nothing else works.

Stops the water from freezing over however it does not stop the metal ball in the metal drinking nib from freezing and there for stopping water from coming out. I'm not to happy with this product plus you are unable to see how much water is left with out taking it all off

its good for keeping algae off the water bottle but about a week after I bought it the elastic holder snapped so I had to use my original water bottles holder :@ and it does not stop the bottle from freezing...

I have had lots of rabbits so far and had to clean their bottle from algae by filling it with sand which was time-consuming and not that effective and this snug works great with no algae growth at all. They are quite expensive but I bought two because they're worth it for the algae factor alone. It keeps the water cool and I found my rabbits drink a lot more because of this. We havent had any freezing weather yet so thats yet to be seen...
Dissadvantages were that the strap it came with didnt fit on the hutch luckily we had two wire tags from bottles. Also you have to (obviously) take it off to see if they need more water which is a nuiscence if you want to do it on the quick but as I try to change my rabbits water every day this doesnt really matter.

This product is great it kept my bunnies water cool in the summer and stopped it from freezing in the winter. Its very easy to use you just place your bottle on it and it fastens by 2 velcro straps the only problem I've had is that the elastic strap was not very good. Overall good value for money.
