This product is unsuitable for guinea pigs. The wheels contain calcium and large quantities of calcium can contribute to the formation of bladder stones. 90% of bladder stones that form in guinea pigs are pure calcium carbonate.

Guinea pigs get all the calcium they need in their diet from vegetables such as carrots, and they get the minerals their bodies require from fresh vegetables, grass and a dry food mix that contains added minerals. There is no need to supplement their diet with these unnecessary mineral stones.

I bought this for me two roborovski dwarf hamsters hoping they might naw at it occasionally to keep their teeth down. I attached to the cage and that night they nibbled a little bit off however I found the little bit a few centimetres away and they never touched it again. Instead they sat on it and washed themselves, or ran over it as an obstacle! Although they didn't use it as food, they did enjoy using it as a seat/obstacle so it wasn't a total waste of money - 3/5!

I bought this product today for my female Syrian Hamster, Peanut Butter (Peanut for short), and my male gerbils, Bailey and Basil. They love them!!!!!!! My hamster kept licking and licking it and loves the way it turns around, and my gerbils, who are intelligent animals who get bored easily, gnaw and gnaw it!!!!!! Thank you Pets at Home, and I will be returning tommorow to try Wheely Corny, and Wheely Salty. X

I bought these mineral stones for my hamsters well being and I don't think it would make my hamster any unhealthier not having them. I don't use the cage clip for it I just lay mine on the floor of the cage so he can use it! I guess it wasn't too dear, so I don't mind that I've wasted my money on it! He will use it, but not often like I thought he would!

I've had my Syrian for nearly three months and i brought this product when i brought the hamster, in those three months she has only licked about two times. Some rodents like it but most don't.

This product is a complete waste of money as it wasn't any use and cost far too much for what it really is. My guinea pig didn't touch it and I couldn't clip it to the cage so I ended up throwing it away!! Your money can be better spent on a more useful product.

I attached this product to the side of the cage where my hamster always chews, in hope that she'd chew it instead. Unfortunately she doesn't even use it, she sniffed it and gave it a nibble when I first put it in, and has never bothered to chew on it since. Product didn't work for me.
