After 3 years of my cat scratching the sofa, and trying countless other products I have finally found something that works. This product is amazing and worth the money (it is a lot cheaper than a new sofa). Since purchasing this my cat hasn't scratched the sofa once!! Would definately reccommend it to other cat owners. My cat likes to sit on it too.

The only downside is the cat has to sit on it to scratch her claws otherwise the box moves about.

When I brought this home, I left it unattended and when I came back my cat had ripped open the catnip pouch and had thrown it all over the room! Once I unwrapped the scratch mat part he couldn't get enough! Absolutely destroying it to get at the catnip, definitely a huge success!!! He is the fussiest cat in the world for toys, but he won't leave this alone. Hopefully this will stop his sofa scratching.

this is not worth the money at all you could make it yourself for like a quid if not less. Although my cat likes it may as well get the £8.99 scratch mat.

Decided to but one of these as we needed a new post for one of our cats as she has taken a fancy to our new bedroom carpet and it seemed to have lots of great reviews. We have two cats and neither of them is even interested in it. They have both given it a good sniff and then just walked away. It is just like a lot of cardboard sandwiched together, but as it was on offer at our local store and the other reviews were so good I felt we should give it a go. I guess you can't please all the cats all the time, so we'll just have to stick to getting a new scratch post instead. Such a shame.

My cats have ruined my dining room chairs, carpets and leather sofas and having cats who ignored scratching posts in the past, I didn't see the point in buying any more. However, my friend suggesting a scratching mat and on a visit to PAH, I noticed this product. For the price, I was more than willing to give it a go. Within two days my cats were on it regularly, catnip or not. Success! I bought my first one about 6 months ago and only had to change it because one of them peed in it when the litter tray wasn't there. I like the fact it is two sided so you get twice as long out of it plus it goes straight in the recycling. A very clever product!

This is the best thing I have ever bought for my cat. He had started clawing our carpets and we had bought him lots of different scratching post which he never used. When we first got it he was a little reluctant to use it, but after a couple of days he started using it more often and now he uses it all the time! He still uses it even though we have run out of CatNip. We bought it in the middle of February and still have the same one, we will have to replace it soon. This was the best thing we ever bought for our cat and I would recommend it to everyone!

Our 8 year old cat had of late taken to scratching our wooden doors at every opportunity she got ....and by scratching I mean taking great chunks of of the doors ( not to mention the stair carpet)Saw this box whilst looking for a scratch post, read the reviews and thought that there was no way it could help as others stated with such a persistent scratcher as ours. For [$] though we had to try somethingThe response was nothing short of amazing, the wife and I both stood open mouthed as we placed the box next to our little darling....within 10 seconds she was atop it scratching as if her life depended on it .We moved it to our desired position.... She took a further 10 seconds to search it out the scratch away she did.....2 months later.... Still scratching the box.....doors and carpets haven't been touched sinceSIMPLE BUT SUPERB.....give it a go !!!

My cat absolutely loves this scratching box, so we generally have 2 or 3 placed around the house. As well as using them for scratching boards, she also likes to sleep on them and use them as viewing platforms to bird-watch out of the window!

We wouldn't be without these now, although I would say that they seem just a little bit expensive for what is effectively a chunk of cardboard.

My cat was run over in early February and has been under house arrest ever since. I looked for ways to amuse him and ensure he can scratch- his upright scratching posts were not suitable as they put too much strain on his tummy after such major surgery. I found this box in Pets at Home and am delighted. My cat LOVES it- sleeps on it, sits on it- he is as I write this and he can scratch safely whilst he recovers. Such good value for money - I will definitely buy another but as other reviews say, I won't need to for a while as it holds up so well! Thank you!!!
