My cats have enjoyed scratch boxes for a long time now, but when I went to replace them, this is what I found. Even better, they just love the opportunity to chase a ball around inside. I've popped a couple more in to make it even more interesting since. Scratch boxes are pretty much a winner as the cats love them, and they have no inclination to scratch the furniture. Slight downside is the mess they make! I'm always picking up the bits that get tracked through the house.

I bought this hoping that my cat would scratch it instead of the carpet. She doesn't scratch it, but she has lots of fun trying to get the ball out of the box through the holes. Eventually she manages to do this and bats it around the room, thenl I drop the ball back in and the game starts again. l put a couple of smaller balls in as well to add to the interest. Great toy, and as she's not scratching it, it should last a long time.

Better than scratching posts I reckon. Both my old cat and young cat love them. The young one loves playing in the holes, trying to get whatever I put inside, outside! Hours of amusement, and well worth the money. Also very durable. When the outside has been wrecked, turn it over! Cats seem to be drawn to scratch on these rather than a post. I have 3 of these.

I bought this as my old cat scratching post had fallen to pieces. I was a little dubious about changing from an upright post as I was unsure if my three cats would like a flat one - how wrong I was! They were all helping me unwrap the thing and can't get enough of it, they take it in turns to sleep on it and one of them loves to chew the sides!

A bonus is that you can flip the top section over once it is worn a little.

My only negative point is the bits come off easily, however, all scratching posts have a similar problem when they are raked by the cat, if your cat doesn't chew the sides of the cardboard it will be great.

Overall a great idea, is not cumbersome and therefore space saving - a definite must buy!

I am now onto my second box! First one lasted 6 months. This box is great for keeping house cats entertained and occupied. My cat is easily bored and distracted but he wont leave this alone! Best purchase ever! will continue to buy them!

My 9 week old kitten loves this! He has lots of fun poking his paws and trying to fit his face down the holes to get the jingly ball. We also put his toy mouse in the box which he loves to fish out of the holes. It's very funny to watch!

He doesn't use it as a scratch post and the catnip doesn't seem to interest him but he loves playing with it/in it. I can definitely recommend it.

We bought this as a little present for our cats for Christmas. We have 2 young, boisterous, intelligent and large tom housecats so assumed it would be in shreds within a few days, but were sure they'd have a great time in the process. Given that it is totally made of cardboard we have been really pleasantly surprised by how sturdy it is. it's still totally in one piece and very much loved by the boys. The hollow and holes for toys have provided hours of fun, particularly for one of them, the other likes to snooze and snuggle on it. it's also great for its main purpose, scratching. All in all I would highly recommend, especially for the price. Think I may buy a few to have for when they eventually destroy this one.

My cats love this! They've scratched it, bitten and chewed it to pieces, slept on it, played with it. They would sleep on this in preference to the rather expensive plush cushioned wicker basket I bought for them (typical!). I would definitely buy another. Highly recommend.

My 2 Norwegian Forest Cats love this. Bought this for my 2 indoor cats to try to keep them entertained. So far this has been a bit hit with them both playing with it, sleeping on it (one has become rather possessive of it!). So far they haven't really been using it as a scratching post but I am sure they will soon. Great play thing for them!
