Bought this in store, for my third cat who is now 15 weeks old. Sisal on base started coming off immediately he used it & he's only a small boy with small claws! I shall be taking it back because such poor construction makes it not fit for purpose.

As soon as i got home, Smudge was scratching away at his new scratching post! He absolutly loves it, and its a very attractive design, so i love it too. Only had it a week or so, but its been well used so far and is still looking good.

I bought this scratching post for a new 6 month old kitten, it has lasted 3 weeks and has totally come to pieces all the sisal has un-ravelled and the post is now unusable. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS ITEM.

As with the other review the product does not do what it says. After less than 2 weeks use the sisal/rope has all separated from the upright post. Our previous scratch posts that were bought for around £5 from [@]lasted well over a year and eevn when we disposed of them they were still in better condition than this item. Major rethink needed on design, quality and durability of this item. I could not recommend under any circumstances. Save your money and buy an alternative.
