Debbie Joicey, Store Manager

I am the store manager at Gateshead. I started working for Pets at Home in 1995 at the Gateshead store, and it is a great company to work for! Pop down to the store and say hello, bring your pets too as we always have a treat ready.

Expertise: 16 years experience with PAH. Qualifications in Aquatics, Dental, PCT certificate and Animal Management.

Pets: German Shepherd called Oscar, a cat called Florida, and 4 guinea pigs.

Laura Findlay, Aquatics Manager

I started at Pets at Home in 2002 part time, but I have always been attracted to the aquatics. I am now the Aquatics Manager, and as I have always loved animals this is my perfect job.

Expertise: 9 years at PAH, PCT certificate, Reptile Expert qualification, Aquatics and Marine, and I was trained at Reaseheath College in Aquatics management with my OATA certificate.

Pets: 2 dogs, Axel and Kane, who are both Lurcher crosses, 2 cats and various other animals as part of my menagerie!

Denise Whitenstall, Store Colleague

I started with Pets at Home in 2007, and have loved all the training that is available. I feel I can really help the customers and give them the best advice.

Expertise: 4 years with Pets at Home, but I have worked with animals most of my life! I have my Reptile, Aquatics and OATA qualifications, Product Knowledge certificates for Hills, Tetra and Woodlands, and I'm a Support Adoption Champion.

Pets: 5 cats, and 2 Syrian Hamsters at the moment but over the years I've also had rabbits, guinea pigs, fish and rats.
