During the autumn months, preparation should be done to ensure shelter is available for the upcoming harsh winter months and in anticipation of the nesting season, starting in February.

Birds begin to look for supplementary food so ensure food stations are maintained as some birds will have come to depend on this for survival.

Try to establish a feeding routine and always ensure that feeders are clean and water is readily available.
