How to use:
- Unfold and place your Pets at Home Puppy Training Pad on the floor with the plastic side down using the conveniently placed sticky tabs to affix to your floor
- To apply the sticky tabs, remove the paper from the adhesive pads and press onto a sooth, clean, hard floor
- Alternatively, you can use our easy to store training pad holder
- Always keep the pad in an area that's available to your puppy, but away from their bed and food
- Anticipate and plan when your puppy may need to go to the toilet.
Signs that your puppy needs to go to the toilet include:
- Sniffing the floor, circling and starting to squat
- Place your puppy on the pad so that they can smell the built in special scent
- If your puppy does not relieve themselves immediately, take them back several times until they are successful
- When your puppy relieves themselves on the pad, reward them with a treat or enthusiastic praise
- Replace with a new pad as necessary.
Even with the best of intentions, accidents can happen, so remove all traces of odour by using a Antimicrobial Stain and Odour Remover, this will ensure your puppy isn't encouraged to relieve themselves in this spot again. Once your puppy's training is complete indoors, move the pad outside the house. Your pup should learn within a couple of weeks the habit of doing their business outside.
