The RAC 'every day' essential travel safety gear offers great value, not compromising on product quality and providing protection for pets whilst out and about. Due to the increased levels of stringency when travelling with animals, RAC have been working hard to expand their range, allowing them to offer high quality products at affordable prices to meet all new legislative restrictions for pet travel - Act Now, Buckle Up.

For their length, measure from your pet's nose to tail. When measuring the tail, add approximately 2-4 inches to the overall length, depending on their size. For their height, measure from the top of your pet's head to the ground.

How to use:

Unclip the clips that secure the carrier into a folded position. Unfold either side of the carrier out so that it starts to take shape. Pull up the metal tubes and connect them into place to support the carrier.

Product Care:

Carefully remove outer cover. Hand wash in cold water and mild detergent. Use a non abrasive cloth or sponge to clean all materials. Air or line dry.

Warnings and Safety:

Always make sure that your vehicle, and your pet's container is well ventilated and kept cool during the journey. Never put a carrier in the boot of a saloon car as your pet could suffocate, and avoid putting it unsecured in the boot of a hatchback or estate car, as the carrier will be thrown around in a crash. It is important to make sure it is the correct size for your pet: the pet must have enough space to lie down and manoeuvre comfortably. Leave plenty of space around the crate to allow for ventilation, and ensure it is secured with the seatbelt. In a hatchback or estate (not saloon) car, a cage can be attached to anchorage points in the boot.

  • Dog carrier

I tried several carriers nefore I settled on this carrier. The frame is strong and the fabric has survived very sharp claws and teeth from my miniature Schnauzer. He is very happy to travel on the back seat of the car excellent.

  • Horrible

There is no hard bottom. It is totally soft fabric. We thought it has a missing part but apparently they decide to do this way! It says it will carry 11kg, it is like a joke! No way! Our cats would destroy it in 2 use so we sent it back.

    • Sturdy Carrier

Good carrier, very roomy, however, quite stiff to erect.

    • Well Made

Fit for purpose. We've had ours for over 2 years and it's still going strong. Our dog has scratched the mesh a little bit but it's not gone through and really that's down to her not the bag. We strap ours in using two of the cars seatbelts and it stays secure. For peace of mind I would much rather have this than a metal crate or a dog seat. I would definitely recommend. Now looking to buy a second for my parents car.

We brought this before our dog arrived. She has happily used it as a day bed, climbs in to get into the car and she is very comfortable with just a small rectangle of vet carpet in there and a cuddly toy. Unfortunately after two years of daily use, it has started to get some wear and tear, so we are buying a second one. Hopefully now she isn't a puppy there will be less damage to it!
