Important information:

Care & behaviour: Chihuahuas require an effective care routine along with good food nutrition to help manage their skin and coat condition, body size and general wellbeing. Grooming: Weekly brushing to encourage natural oil release and less frequent grooming to remove seasonal shedding. General health & teeth: Regularly check eyes to ensure they are clear, clean and healthy looking. Check for signs of weight gain by weighing regularly as this can occur quickly in small breeds. Check for weakness, disorientation or unusual behaviour that may indicate low energy levels. Wearing a coat outside may reduce their shivering when cold (normally nothing to worry about). Regularly check dental hygiene (training to accept teeth brushing as a puppy will help maintain oral health). Exercise & play: Typically 30 minutes exercise per day (although they love to run and play keep an eye on their energy levels, in hot weather care should be taken not to over exert time). Chihuahuas can be very intelligent, often vocal in warning in new sights, sounds and smells (training will be more successful when started early, made fun and backed up with praise and healthy reward!). If you are new to AVA pate or are transitioning from one life-stage to the next, it is advisable to introduce their food slowly over 4-7 days. They also recommend feeding AVA pate in 2 equal portioned meals and at regular times each day.   • my dog loves this food

    My 10 year old chihuauha was having some tummy isses with her previous food, i switched her to this and she has now been on this 1 for 4 months with absolutley no issues. i wish they did other flavours but she seems to love this chicken flavour and gets excited at meal times.
