Spray liberally directly on to the area where your pet has been, as quickly as possible, so that the urine is diluted before it reaches the grass root. Apply more generously especially in dry weather as the grass will absorb the urine more quickly. When your female dog is in season, her urine will be particularly more acidic and therefore more likely to damage the lawn.
