Capstar Flea Treatment Tablet for Medium and Large Dogs (11kg and over) 1 Pack

We run a small dog rescue, we take dogs in from council pounds, direct relinquish etc. Before the dogs enter out kennels they are given Capstar. This gives us peace of mind that we can limit the number of fleas entering. We love the ease of just giving a tablet and love the speed at which they work.

My dog was noticeably more comfortable 30 minutes after taking the tablet. Dead fleas were visible after 30 minutes.

Very effective flea killer, you can literally see the fleas trying to flee your dog's body. It is not a preventative treatment and rather an instant killer. It lasts for 24 hours but it doesn't kill the flea eggs or larvae so you need to combine this with a good quality preventative flea treatment. We found our dog had fleas and we applied a store bought spot-on. Unfortunately it was not very effective and we found that fleas were still appearing even though we washed her and treated and washed our entire house! We couldn't apply another spot-on from the vet until 28 days had passed from the previous treatment so these tablets from Capstar worked great while we waited for the weeks to pass. We used a couple of these a week. Like another review said it's a good idea to give the tablet and then take your dog out for a walk in about 15-30 so the bulk of fleeing and dead fleas fall off outside rather than your home. Hopefully I won't have to buy again as I'll still to the vet grade spot-on but good to know they work nonetheless.
