The SureFeed Microchip Pet Feeder is a selective...
Quite reliable product, but with three glaring issues. 1) the mechanism does not always deliver the same amount of food. Sometimes the dispenser pipe remains empty, so it turns once delivering only a small portion. However, it never jams. 2) The programming is very complex. You must have the manual with you, and some operations (e.g. delivering an extra portion manually) require pressing two buttons at the same time, which is not always reliable. 3) this is the biggest problem: the slide and the delivery chute are large and, despite the slanted bowl, food tends to pile up just under the chute. The result is that the food is all piled up under the chute, where the cat can't reach it easily (as it's covered by the chute itself). The slanting is not enough to ensure that the food rolls down after being delivered. Pros: it contains a lot of food, it can easily be "turned off" by just moving the container off the delivery mechanism (useful if the cat needs to fast due to medical issues). Batteries last a really long time, and it's fully battery powered. No stupid app or wifi. I am trying to fix issue n.3 by raising the dispenser a few cms, while leaving the bowl drop down (there's some play, and this should increase the slope, hopefully fixing the issue)
Brought this feeder for our cat, as didn't want to bother neighbours to feed our cat while we were away. Cat got use to the sound and knew it was feeding time. Highly recommended
