The Staywell Original 2-Way Pet Door offers your...
Programmed it for both our cats and it let them in when they popped their head into the tunnel. Brilliant…except after a little while it stops letting them in by not unlocking at all, or only unlocking after 5-10 seconds of the cat banging on the door, by which time it's given up as it thinks the door is locked. Probably explains why it's nearly half the price of the Sureflap one, which is what we're going to buy and try instead.
We have 2 cats. This worked fine for a year, then started behaving randomly. Would let one cat in and not the other, then wouldn't let either of them in. It's not cheap, and should be more reliable for the money. Disappointed.
Handy to know my cat can come & go as he pleases. Also no problems with unwelcome visitors, rats, mice so far. I've had two cats, Benji who is 21/2 & Tom who passed on four years ago. Both beautiful cats.
I followed the instructions exactly and registered my cat's chip. However, it simply doesn't unlock now no matter what we try. My unit is either defective or it's simply an unreliable product.
It does exactly what I wanted x allows my cat in and not the rest of the streets x that impressed with it we bought one for my mums cat as well x
I've had two of these now, they work for a while then for no reason will stop shouting your cat in, even though it clearly recognises their chip and "saves" it. Do yourself a favour and don't bother.
