Product description

Prevents pulling with gentle guidance, adjustable for a custom fit. Lightweight, comfortable, and reflective for safety during low light.
  • Perfect fit
  • Reflective & safe
  • Lightweight design
  • A simple no pull solution

If you have a dog that pulls on the lead, you will know how difficult and sometimes dangerous dog walks can be. The Halti Headcollar was designed by Dr Roger Mugford as the first headcollar for dogs as a simple training aid to tackle lead pulling. If you guide the head, the body will follow. The Halti Headcollar is a humane training tool that provides maximum control for even the strongest pullers.

Features:

  • Stops Pulling - A simple no pull solution for most dogs, with both a no pull lifting action and front control steering. A perfect option for flat nosed breeds who can't wear a headcollar.
  • Kind & Humane - The lightweight design allows for full range of movement and the padded chest and leg straps keep your dog comfortable during walks.
  • Perfect Fit - The Halti No Pull Harness comes in 3 different sizes and is fully adjustable to fit most dogs. Use our size guide to find your dog's perfect fit.
  • Reflective & Safe - reflective chest panel and stitching for improved low light visibility.
  • Better Together - To get the best no pull training experience, use the Halti No Pull Harness with our double clip Halti Training Lead.

Suitable for:

Dogs only

Not suitable for:

Young puppies under 9 months old. Under 9 months we suggest a harness with a Halti double ended training lead.

How to use:

Measure your dog's neck and nose to find the optimum size. If your dog doesn't fit one of these headcollars, please see the optifit headcollar which has a fully adjustable nose band. For a better no pull walking and training experience, pair with the Halti Training Lead. This dual-clip lead attaches to your dog's head collar for optimal no-pull support and steering control. It's important to remember that for your dog having a new training aid on their head / face will feel unusual for your dog and it is perfectly normal reaction for them to try and remove it. We encourage you to help your dog acclimatise to the headcollar by using positive associations methods. This can be through using treats to encourage your dog to place their nose into the headcollar and then placing on your dog for a few seconds, then taking the headcollar off and rewarding immediately. Build up slowly to give your dog time to adjust. If your dog is trying to take the headcollar off, try to distract them with a treat or their favourite toy to prevent this behaviour. It important with all training to be patient and consistent. As soon as your dog starts to pull, come to a halt. Only move forward again when the lead is slack. Reward success early on, by regularly treating your dog when they not pulling on the lead as this will encourage nice walking. For an extra helping hand we recommend using the Halti Training Lead with your Halti Headcollar or Harness so that you have more control when walking your dog.
