How to use:
- Lift lid and tilt to one side to access the tube for filling.
- Replace the lid, and hang the feeder in an appropriate location.
- For easier cleaning of the feeder, pull out the sprung wire from each side of the base to remove it.
It is important to provide food throughout the whole year, especially during breeding, nesting, fledgling and colder periods.
- Spring: Feeding in spring helps to provide nourishment to returning migratory birds and support them during the breeding season.
- Summer: High energy and protein filled foods in the summer will help birds whilst they're busy raising their young.
- Autumn: Migratory birds build up their fat reserves during the autumn for the energy required for their long journeys ahead. Native birds will also be preparing for the upcoming cold season.
- Winter: High fat content helps sustain body weight and energy when natural food sources are scarce which helps birds survive the cold winter.
Our Hygiene Checklist:
Only put out 1-2 days' food at a time. Old food can pose a health risk and attract pests. To avoid a build up of bacteria, moulds or toxins relocate feeding station regularly. Wear gloves and regularly clean your feeders with a bird safe, antibacterial disinfectant. Wash your hands after handling products
