Royal Canin Rottweiler Dry Adult Dog Food 12kg

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This large bag was easy to open, and easy to reseal for freshness. As soon as I opened the bag, I could smell the food and how meaty it was, and so could my dog… she was so excited to try it, jumping around and sniffing the bag! The food was in large hunks which I liked, because this slowed my dog down having to chew and bite the food and it is also good for her teeth. My did throughly enjoyed this food, from the first try of it, and she is thriving on it. She is fit and healthy, has lots of energy and is as happy as can be. This is a good quality food, which has lots of health benefits and positives to using it and my dog loves it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We got Royal Canin Rottweiler Adult and gradually introduced it before feeding it fully, so both of my adult Rottweilers were on it. The larger kibble size is excellent and clearly designed well for the breed, as both dogs enjoyed chewing it. Unfortunately, the food did not agree with either of them. Despite the slow transition, both developed very bad wind and watery stools, which sadly didnt resolve after persevering, only resolved once I stopped feeding it. I also expected a better ingredient list for a premium-priced food. The main ingredients are rice, dehydrated poultry protein, animal fats, vegetable protein, and maize, and I would personally prefer to see a clearly named animal protein as the first ingredient with less reliance on cereals and plant proteins. It does contain useful additions such as fish oil, glucosamine, and chondroitin, but for my dogs the digestive upset outweighed the benefits.
