Product description

High-quality Timothy hay, low in protein and calcium, high in fibre. Helps to promote dental health and gut motility, and encourages chewing.

Selective is the widest range of veterinary recommended species-specific foods formulated to meet the nutritional needs of small animals. Their foods are rich in natural ingredients and naturally delicious with no added sugars. Irresistibly tasty, small animals just love the unique crunchy texture of Selective. This range of food for small herbivores - that's Rabbits - are carefully blended with a balance of short and long fibres, as well as natural prebiotics to help optimise digestive health. Selective also offers pets a bigger portion size per calorie compared to other foods to help maintain weight and promote active chewing for healthy teeth. Every recipe is specifically formulated to meet your pet's exact nutritional needs and features fortified and stabilised vitamins and minerals that are easier for pets to digest.

Selective Small Animal Timothy Feeding Hay 1.5kg comes from the first cut of the year, fresh from the fields. It's harvested from carefully chosen Timothy grass that produces the largest, tastiest seed heads and is one of the best hays to feed rabbits. As it tastes great, our Timothy hay helps encourage your rabbit to forage through the stems and leaves and have a good chew or even play. As that's a way for them to express their natural behaviour, it also helps to keep them happy too.

  • Highly recommend

Amazing product our rabbit refuses to eat any other hay. There's a little dust in the bag but much less than other brands we have tried.

  • BEWARE if you suffer from Hayfever!

If you suffer at all with Hayfever, stay as far away from this product as possible. Putting 1 small handful into the rabbit's feed box had me wanting to rip my skin off due to horrendous rashes and pain appearing on both my hands and arms, along with my eyes streaming and nose running. I haven't had this reaction from any other brand or type of hay and I only suffer from light hayfever.

    • Great choice

Usually have timothy hay grass which is no longer available. This is the best choice available for my rabbits upto now.

    • Mostly rejected - disappointing

The batch had a lot of seed heads which my guinea pigs love, and which prompted the purchase. However, the bulk of the hay was not a nice texture and was rejected for the most part. For the expensive price of the hay, I would expect much better quality. Perhaps it was a bad batch but I would not repurchase.
