The hard consistency of YAKERS chews ensures that dogs have to put in some effort to soften and break them apart, resulting in a longer chewing experience and helping reduce plaque and tartar. Each chew is also rich in calcium and protein thanks to the natural properties of yak milk. For an added twist, simply pop the small end pieces in the microwave for 30 - 60 seconds until they puff up. Please supervise your pet when feeding YAKERS and always ensure fresh drinking water is available. Once your dog has enjoyed the YAKERS, take the remaining small end piece and place it in a microwave on high for 30 to 60 seconds until it puffs up. Allow to cool, then give it back to your dog to finish the chew!

    • be careful with these! shards and vomiting

      I bought one for my 4 month old puppy. Within a day it was in 2 pieces, however it seemed really great other than that, for several days as she really enjoyed chewing away and isn't strong enough to really break pieces off quickly. However, I 'puffed' the smallest piece as suggested, and after chewing this and breaking off pieces she was desperate for grass, and was sick several times with the vomit containing little shards of the chew. I'm not sure yet if I'll need to take her to the vets, will have to keep a close eye.
