Please remember this is only a guide - individual metabolism, activity levels, age and environment should all be considered when calculating the daily amount to feed your puppy. Their full AVA range includes specific life-stage and special functional products.
If you are new to AVA kibble or are transitioning from one life-stage to the next, it is advisable to introduce their food slowly over 4-7 days. They also recommend feeding AVA kibble in 3 to 4 meals a day for the first 6 months. After 6 months divide into total into 2 meals a day. This will help balance the nutritional benefit of our AVA formulations throughout the day, before and after most active times.

It is very important not to overfeed or excessively give treats as both can have serious longer-term health consequences. They also recommend that you weigh your puppy regularly to help manage their food intake and to spot any signs of weight change early on. Where a weight gain or loss program is required seek veterinary advice and see specific AVA product recommendations.

    I have 2 male shih tzus and they seem to like this food. The kibbles are small which is good. The guy in store recommend this its a good choice, although I'm still a John Burns fan!

      A new product to us for a new Border Terrier puppy. Assistant in the Pets for Us store showed us a few options and we choose AVA because it was hypo allergenic. Pup now almost 8 months is a bit picky with her food so hard to judge- she eats with coaxing but seems to tolerate the kibble.

      This dry food is perfect for tiny puppies, we first pup our pup on this when she was 7 weeks, it helped her little stomach adjust from wet food and milk to dry solid food. Because it has pro biotics it was gentle and didn't cause an upset tummy.
