Capstar is perfect to use initially during a flea infestation due to its quick speed of kill, before continuing with on-going, longer lasting flea treatments. Capstar starts killing adult fleas on your pet within just 30 minutes and lasts for 24 hours. You will literally see dead fleas falling off your pet. No-mess: These flea treatment tablets for cats and dogs are fuss-free and easy to give.Don't forget 95% of a flea infestation is present within the home environment. Where you have an established flea infestation it's important to treat the whole home, so wash all bedding and soft furnishings on a high heat and ensure an effective environmental treatment is used.

Capstar is a highly effective and fast-acting oral tablet that kills fleas on your furry friend by working from the inside out. A single dose starts killing fleas within 30 minutes and kills 95% - 100% of adult fleas within 6 hours. You can see the dead fleas fall off your pet's coat.

Warnings and Safety

Nitenpyram is well-tolerated by the target species. If you are concerned your pet has consumed more than then target dose, please contact your veterinary surgeon.

How to use:

Capstar is an oral flea tablet. Place the tablet directly in your pet's mouth or hide it in food. If you hide it in food watch carefully to make sure your pet swallows it. One tablet should be given to cats and small dogs weighing 1kg to 11kg when a flea infestation is detected. The frequency of treatment depends on the degree of infestation. In the case of a severe flea infestation, it may be necessary to treat the animals every day or every other day, until the flea infestation is controlled. Treatment may be resumed if fleas reappear. No more than one treatment should be given per day. Tablets should be given orally, with or without food. Tablets can be disguised in a small quantity of food immediately prior to administration.

      I struggle to get liquid flea treatments completely on my cat as she is both fluffy and quick to run away! Used this tablet in conjunction with Frontline/ Advantage and Indorex spray for the home - the three together worked brilliantly and made sure any stragglers were dealt with. Was surprisingly easy to hide in her food (normally she notices and leaves to one side). Very happy with the results and will use again to boost the other flea treatments.

      • Useless, don't bother.

        I read so many reviews before buying this and had high hopes of it working. It did not. To add it wasn't a bad infestation, just a few live ones observed, I thought this would be perfect as they weren't due their routine prevention treatment for another week. Well no, it didn't do anything. I applied it at 10am and at 4pm I was still finding live fleas. Not one dead one. I don't often write reviews but I just thought I would in this case in hope of saving someone some money.

          This treatment was brilliant, both my dogs took it easily with a bit of (tube) cheese. Next day found dead fleas on the bed. Only downside it's a 24 hour product, so you may need to treat again.

            I'm so pleased with this product, my pup has had atleast 24 a day on him, nothing worked, until this, I've found 3 lifeless, a few hours after giving it. He is completely clear atm. House treating too
