  • Unidentifiable stuff in the feline canned c/d

No, I don't recommend this product

My cat has been on the canned c/d Multicare with Chicken for several weeks now. Every -- no exaggeration -- bowl of this food that I have served my cat contains several pieces of chewy, rubbery, inedible chunks of who-knows-what that I have to fish out of her bowl. It is thoroughly disgusting. Hill's has dropped the ball on the QAing of this food. Once she's done with the case of this c/d that I have I will pursue switching her to the Royal Canin version of c/d. I've used Hill's -- both prescription and retail foods -- for decades and I have never run into a problem with it until now.

My cat used to eat the smaller cans of chicken stew and then something changed with them. I tried cans from multiple places and he refused to eat it anymore. The only other one he will eat is this one, the large cans of chicken pate. Now once again it is happening with this variety. Multiple cans from multiple stores are very watery and smell different and he will not touch them. This is a prescription food that he needs to prevent a life or death situation and I don't understand why you would keep changing the food.

I would prefer a smaller can for the pate. My cat only eats 1/4 of a can at a time and she is finicky and doesn't like it straight from the fridge. I bought the stew because of the smaller size but she would not touch any of it. Had to donate to a local shelter. Another flavor would be helpful too, but unfortunately, I have the only cat who does not like seafood flavors. UGH!

              Yes, I recommend this product

Tucker has been on this for several months and it is working. Wish they came in smaller cans. He eats small amts and it doesn’t stay fresh long enough for him to finish the whole can. :(
