The liver is your dog's largest internal organ with many functions, including metabolising and conversion of nutrients, the removal of toxic substances from the blood and the storage of vitamins and minerals. The liver has an amazing ability to repair and regenerate itself, and nutrition plays a vital role in this process. Hill's nutritionists and veterinarians developed Prescription Diet l/d, clinical nutrition to support liver health and help protect vital liver function. Patients with hyperlipidaemia, pancreatitis, history of pancreatitis or at risk of pancreatitis.

Suitable for:

Adult Dogs aged 1 year and over.

Not suitable for:

Pregnant or nursing dogs.

Recommended for:

Ascites and oedema associated with liver disorders. Copper storage disease. General liver disorders. Hepatic encephalopathy. Portosystemic shunt. Insulinoma.

Not recommended for:

Patients with hyperlipidaemia, pancreatitis, history of pancreatitis or at risk of pancreatitis.

  • My dog doesn't like it.

    My vet recommended for my dog who has high liver count .. so I brought two tins of this and some dry food. My dog had one taste and the was it he didn't like it.

      Yes, I recommend this product

      My baby has been on it for almost a month now. This food really brought back his energy, and he is himself again. The only reason why I gave 4 stars because of the price. My dog ate about 10-12 cans this month and it cost me around R1000, but I would do anything for him.

        My dog has a liver shunt and we have worked our way through various Hepatic brands without much success. Finally coming across Hills, she just loves this tinned food. (Toy Poodle).
