No, I don't recommend this product

My cat started on the wet thyroid food about a week ago and does not like it at all. He doesn't like to consistency as it is a thick pate without gravy. I wish Hills would make a few different choices for the thyroid care Wet food and also some treats. This is a very boring diet for a cat to get used to. He'll eat the dry but he prefers to have wet food . He is losing weight as his appetite is decreased because he doesn't like the food.

I did not have many choices to make for my elderly cat. He had a terrible reaction to thyroid medication and surgery wasn't an option. We started the diet Y/D and he looks like a whole new cat. He loves the canned and nibbles on the dry. I highly recommend this diet!

My thyroid kitty loves this with her dry! I’m so thankful she was able to eat this food since her body wanted to reject her methimazole. After a stressful move, adding the wet food has helped and she loves it!

This diet is nothing short of amazing! I have been in the Veterinary field for 25+ years and our first thought to treat hyperthyroidism has always been Methimazole. I have an Acromegaly cat who is now hyperthyroid and he was initially started on Methimazole. Within 3 weeks of starting Methimazole he developed acute liver toxicity. The medication was discontinued and we opted to transition to Y/D. I was praying for a miracle and hoping his diabetes would not be horribly thrown off. Fast forward to 4 weeks after the full transition to Y/D, and his liver values are now normal again, his thyroid values are in the high normal range and my cat loves the diet. I couldn't be happier! Thank you!
