So, my 16 year old cat was diagnosed with CKD, hyperthyroidism and low glucose a year back. I have the hyperthyroidism under control with twice daily meds. The low glucose is attributable to diet, he MUST eat regularly. I’ve used Hills dry food of various kinds for decades with my cats and so the kidney one had to be tested. He’s been on it now for just a couple of weeks. He eats it and seems to enjoy it , which is half the battle. Before introducing it in his diet he was on appetite stimulator every 48/72 hours. Now it’s every 72/96 hours, I’m hoping this is due to the Hills ! For now I’m happy this is actively doing some good. I will return with an update. So…. recommended, with reservations for the months ahead.
