The National Trust Shaw Bird Table is made from high-quality FSC- certified pine. The gable-style roof (which helps keep the food and the birds dry) is painted with an environmentally friendly stain in a neutral green colour to suit all garden types. Other key features of this bird table are that it is taller than average to make it more difficult for cats to reach or scare the birds and it is designed to be perfectly proportioned to balance out the weight. Product Care
Don't let droppings build up, clean your feeders thoroughly using a wildlife friendly disinfectant. They recommend that you wear rubber gloves when cleaning and wash your hands, wrists and forearms thoroughly with soap and water afterwards. Discard any uneaten food from feeding tables after 48 hours if it has been left exposed, as it could become contaminated or attract unwanted visitors.
If you feed directly on to the ground or a bird table, try not to put out more food than can be consumed within 24 hours, particularly during damp weather. Refill these daily and regularly provide ground-fed foods in a different place.
