Chicken Oyster Shell Supplement is a high calcium food supplement which aids digestion as well as helping the production of strong, healthy egg shells. After ingestion, the added shell grit gets to work, helping the muscular gizzard grind down food into a paste ready for the gut to absorb. Calcium food supplements are essential for adult hens who are fed corn and should be made available at all times. Without grit supplement, the food would not be rendered into a useable form for the bird.
