The Control Headcollar is an ideal way to calm and control your dog whilst maintaining their freedom. Prevent your pooch from pulling on the lead, whilst still allowing them to pant, drink and receive treats. The Headcollar works by helping to stop pulling on the lead by leading the dog from the front and therefore controlling the direction and speed your dog walks in.Made from strong but lightweight nylon webbing, the headcollar is durable and comfortable. It is fully adjustable so it can be custom fit across your dogs head and neck. Designed with your dog in mind, the headcollar features a partially padded nose band. Finished with a safety link which attaches to your dogs regular collar, so you will still have control of your dog in the unlikely event they manage to remove the headcollar. To get the best no pull training experience, use the Headcollar with our double clip Training Lead (sold separately). This allows you to clip one end to the underside of the headcollar, and the other to your dog's usual collar or harness.

How to use:

Initially your dog may not be used to wearing the headcollar, so take some time and ensure there is a positive association with it. Show the headcollar first and allow them to sniff it to show it is nothing to be scared of. Feed some treats through the noseband, and once accepted you can secure the neck section but not too tight. The noseband should sit halfway down the nose, away from the eyes, and without pressure on the chin strap, your dog should be able to open his mouth fully. Keep up praise and reward so wearing the headcollar becomes a positive experience. For added safety attach the security link to the D ring of your dogs collar in addition to the lead. Ideal for use with a double ended lead, with one trigger hook on the headcollar and the other on your dogs collar or harness.

Product Care:

Hand wash and drip dry only.

Warnings and Safety:

For your pet's safety, examine the headcollar regularly for wear and tear and replace when appropriate, remembering also that pets can chew items unexpectedly, and if any material is ingested to seek immediate veterinary advice. It is a legal requirement under The Control of Dogs Order 1992 for a dog to wear a collar and tag in a public place. A collar should fit comfortably, but make sure you can fit two fingers between the collar and neck (and remember to regularly check carefully under the collar for redness or hair loss that could be caused by an ill-fitting collar). Remember, young pets grow fast and their collars will need adjusting regularly and eventually replacing. When using liquid flea treatments on your pet, please remove their collar as the chemical may react with the material and the buckle. For your pet's safety, examine the collar regularly for wear and tear and replace when appropriate, remembering also that pets can chew items unexpectedly, and if any material is ingested to seek immediate veterinary advice. Do not leave pets unattended while using this collar, and please ensure you remove your pet's collar before placing them into a pet crate.
