Latin name Acheta Domesticus, Brown Crickets are a hardy and cold-tolerant species of cricket, meaning they withstand the winter well and are easily digestible due to their soft-bodies.

Delivered fresh: To ensure maximum freshness, all of our small live food packs are picked, packed and dispatched directly from the breeder in specifically designed postage packs which fit through most standard letterboxes (so you won't need to wait in for your delivery).

Inside the postage packs, the insects are securely contained within well ventilated tubs, ensuring they reach you in optimum condition.

Due to the nature of this product, quantity stated is an approximate volume.

Reptiles give us so much, which is why they deserve the very best care. We pour our expertise and passion into creating great quality products that you can really trust. We're better with animals, they’re at the heart of everything we do.

Feed as part of a varied diet to any suitably sized reptile or amphibian. Use feeding tongs or place into an appropriately sized feeding dish. Check and remove any uneaten live food a few hours after feeding. Consult a reptile or amphibian veterinarian if you have any concerns about your pet's nutrition or feeding routine.

Product Care

As with all live food, it is essential they are kept healthy. How to look after live food: Packed in bran, ensure the crickets are kept at a regular temperature of approximately 60-65F (15-18C) and away from bright light. To encourage the maximum shelf-life, empty into a smooth-sided container with a vented lid and add a slice of potato to provide moisture. Proper supplementation should be given prior to feeding to your reptile.

  • Healthy, lived long

Bought these as a change for my gecko. Although I'll be sticking to locusts as these are very noisy. They lasted a long time and were healthy enough.

    • Poor

Haven't been able to buy black crickets for a few weeks so purchased the brown crickets as an alternative for my Leopard Gecko. Unfortunately they were all dead within days , despite changing their enclosure as well giving food and drink. This happened both times and have been highly disappointed at the survival period. Waste of money don't buy them!
