SureFeed Microchip Cats and Small Dogs Feeder White

As a 2 cat household, we needed this feeder for our little grazer and so that our hoover( other cat)wouldn't eat her food . Price is crazy,was very reluctant to pay for it,but lucky,special offer came along. Best choice we made. She is more calm now, eats what she wants without worrying. Was bit complicated at first to set all up and leaflet doesn't show exactly what you need to do. Online helped. Doesn't come with batteries, sadly. So,watch out and get some when buying this feeder

My cat took to it within 2 days without the training mode which was great as he's nervous of new things, he needed my reassurance the first few times which was me sitting next to him. He has a brother who is greedy so I found a cover for the back which clips into place to stop him stealing any. Would highly recommend this product

We've only had these for a week, but our two cats have quickly gotten used to them. Stops our chunky monkey from stealing our other cats food easily! The lid closes as soon as it senses him. Would highly recommend!

I have 3 cats; 2 greedy Hoovers and one grazer. We'd routinely had to stand over the grazer while she eats to stop the others sneaking in, then put what she hasn't eaten away and try her again with it later. Not an ideal situation, and so we'd been trying to get hold of one of these microchip feeders for ages but they were constantly out of stock everywhere, so when they finally came back in stock we went for it. Surprisingly my little grazer took to the feeder straight away (once we found a spot for it that she liked), we didn't even need to use training mode to get her used to it, which is surprising as she's usually quite skittish and jumpy, but this didn't bother her at all. It comes with 2 bowls, one which is split down the middle so you can have wet and dry food in it, but she won't use this bowl at all, I'm guessing because the split in the middle causes her whisker fatigue, so we've had to stick with the single bowl instead. The feeder generally works great for our needs, it stops the other cats from stealing her food, although they did try their best to find a way into it for the first couple of weeks and I was scared they would end up breaking the lid, but it's remained in tact. Now they have a sniff around it after it's closed but have given up trying to pry it open. The only issues I can really see with it are that the lid takes a really long time to close, easily giving the other cats enough time to run in and grab a mouthful of food if they really wanted to, and as others have mentioned, they can stick their head over the back and get in that way. Thankfully my cats don't seem to bother with either of these options but it could definitely cause problems if your cats are more determined. One other downside I've noticed is that during the summer it does build up condensation on the inside of the lid really quickly, so I found myself having to open it and wipe the lid down several times throughout the day to keep the food fresh. All in all, despite some minor niggles, I am really pleased with the feeder. It has helped us make sure our little grazer can eat when she likes and made our lives much easier in the process.

This is the second of this Surefeed Microchip feeder we've bought. The first one finally gave up the ghost after seven years, probably from overuse. This is just grand, I can now leave doors open, safe in the knowledge that next door's cat can no longer steal my cat's food! And of course, no flies can lay eggs in the wet food. Both my boss (the cat) and myself are over the moon now she has another Surefeed microchip feeder. We both thank you very much.

For the price you pay, you would expect better customer service (from Surefeed) when things go wrong. When wet food is used it gets pushed out of the bowl to the back and gets very messy. The microchip is also temperamental and my cat ends up walking away from it if it is too slow.
