The use of attachments not recommended or sold by the appliance manufacturer may cause an unsafe condition.Do not install or store the appliance where it will be exposed to temperatures below freezing (apart from use with the provided ice packs). Shelter the appliance from direct sunlight. Ensure that the appliance is placed on a flat, even surface. Monitor the appliance regularly. Do not place any objects on top of the feeder. If an extension cord is necessary, ensure the connection is watertight and dust proof. A cord with a proper rating should be used. A cord rated for less amperes or watts than the appliance rating may overheat. Care should be taken to arrange the cord so that it will not be tripped over or pulled. Do not use this unit outdoors. This unit is for indoor use only. The electrical adaptor is only to be used with the unit provided. Four C/LR14 batteries (not included) can be inserted to provide power to the feeder in case of a network power failure or blackout. This appliance has no battery charging function. Rechargeable batteries must be removed from the appliance before being charged. Do not attempt to recharge non-rechargeable batteries. Do not mix new and used or different types of batteries. Always insert batteries according to the correct polarity. Used batteries must be removed from the appliance and safely disposed of in line with the “RECYCLING” section. Batteries must be removed if the appliance is not in use for a long period of time. Do not short circuit the supply terminals.
