Like many other Cryptocorynes, this Sri Lankan Cryptocoryne is slow to grow for the first month after planting. Once it starts to grow, it produces plenty of runners which form a compact group. The plant becomes 7-20 cm tall, and each roset 7-15 cm wide.

To prepare the plant, remove plastic pot and stone wool. Shorten the roots and divide into smaller plants using your fingers or sharp scissors. Finally, plant portions into the substrate using tweezers.
